The Green Energy Program offers Sioux City businesses innovative new tools designed to improve their energy efficiency. The City is partnering with the U.S. Department of Energy and Mid American Energy to offer a variety of rebates and financing options that make it easy for businesses to go green by investing in energy efficient equipment.

Sioux City businesses may be eligible for loans up to $25,000 for the purchase of energy efficient equipment, and a rebate equal to 10% of the loan amount. In addition, rebates are available from MidAmerican Energy and can be combined with the rebates through the Green Energy Program.

Businesses can utilize the Green Energy Program to finance equipment purchases for new construction, new equipment, replacement of existing equipment, or building retrofits.
